Claudia Gschwend (b. 1991) is a Swiss photographer based in London. Her work explores questions of identity, culture, and human connection, often shaped by the environments in which people live. Working across editorial, commercial, and personal projects, she works internationally, moving between portraiture and documentary photography, seeking moments of presence and authenticity.

Her practice has led her to collaborate with artists, journalists, and researchers, documenting communities and individuals across Europe, Africa, South America, and the Middle East. Recent projects include long-term collaborations with a Swiss circus organisation, anthropological research in the Brazilian Amazon, and portrait and interview series with musicians in the UK and the Netherlands.

In recent years, her practice has increasingly turned towards the natural world. Drawn to textures, colours, and patterns within landscapes, she approaches nature with the same sensitivity that defines her portrait work, reflecting a growing interest in the relationship between humans and the Earth.
